Help us host events

We’re always looking for assistance funding events, or for new places to run our events. If you have or know of a great space for a camp, a fun park looking to help children in need or a similar way to make a magical Mirabel event, please get in touch.

Sunday, 21 Jul 2024 - Melbourne

With closed roads and fast, one lap courses, more than 20,000 runners descend on the streets, heading past some of Melbourne’s most famous landmarks. Cheer zones and epic vibes make this a race weekend unlike any other.

Amidst the excitement and energy of the event, there's an opportunity to rally behind The Mirabel Foundation and raise vital funds for our families.

Grassroots Sports Club Lunch

Friday, 11 October 2024 - Melbourne

Grassroots Sports Club events are always memorable and it was no surprise that March’s annual AFL-themed lunch was a spectacular success with all funds raised going to Mirabel sports programs. There was a strong Hawthorn theme to the occasion and Mirabel Alumni Ashlee spoke beautifully to the assembled crowd, upstaging even premiership Hawks like Jarryd Roughead and the larger-than-life Robert DiPierdomenico. The 2008 premiership cup was even in attendance, thanks to yet another flag-winning Hawk, Russell Greene.

Mirabel appreciates everybody at Grassroots SC who donate their time, energy and money to the event, raising vital funds for our programs.

The Cubbies by Joan Healey

We would like to celebrate the impending launch of a new book, The Cubbies by Joan Healey, one of the original carers who inspired the creation of Mirabel.

The Cubbies is the most unlikely of stories, especially in these days of rules and regulations. Joan passionately believed in the rights and needs of kids to be able to play freely, as they wished. By establishing a Fitzroy playground that survives to this day, although maybe not quite so wild as in the Seventies, she changed the playing field (pun intended).
